Attaining a flat left wrist at impact is very important to consistent and penetrating golf shots, but for many it seems to be an unattainable goal. In the "Impact Series" on the Members Vault, we are helping you the golfer developt the desired impact position by both understanding what it is and by providing drills to accomplish it. This video is unique in that it is the first to really discuss equally the differences for both one and two plane swingers as their impact positions are very different. Hitting half shots like the one demonstrated in this video will go a long way to developing a much more powerful ball flight.

In the swing sequence below, you can see several important things demonstrated. In the first frame, you can see that my hands are leading the club into impact as they are ahead of the ball just before the club reaches impact. In the second, third and fourth frames, you can see that the clubhead never passes the hands. The left arm and shaft form a straight line just after impact and maintain that late into the follow through. This is paramount in the golf swing as the opposite of this would be to flip the club through impact which introduces a great deal of timing into the swing and causes the club to have too much loft at impact, creating a weak, high ball flight

The clubhead doesn't pass the hands until much after impact in a sound golf swing.
